PROJECT TIMELINE

Due to the pandemic and the travel restrictions that it has caused, the kick-off meeting of the MENTORme project took place virtually on the 14th of December 2020. All the partners took advantage of this meeting to present their organizations, share their views on the main activities, procedures as well as outcomes and discuss the next steps and deadlines. The main focus was given to IO1: the MENTORme Handbook which is the start of a very promising project.

After the TPM1, the consortium started working hard on the activities of the first Intellectual Output. After providing feedback on the template concerning the collection of good practices at national level, partners are now working on filling in this template by the best examples they can find. Once the good practices are found, national and comparative reports will be developed in order to demonstrate the current situation and needs in each partner country. The following activity of IO1 is the creation of the MENTORme Handbook in which all partners will work together for its development.

Partners have also started working on the third intellectual output which concerns the Mobil App and the project’s platform. After hard work and collaboration, both tools are now almost ready. In addition, they have decided the assessment procedure and the criteria in order for students to earn the MENTORme Open Badges.

After the completion of IO1, partners have started working on the second intellectual output and the modules for the development of the key competences of the HE students are now completed and translated in all partner languages.

The partners finally had the opportunity to meet in person for the second transnational project meeting in Thessaloniki. The partners shared their excitement about being together for the first time, discussed the current tasks that need to be completed, and planned their future steps in regards to the teaching material that will be developed soon.

Partners organized the third transnational project meeting of the MENTORme project on the 16th and 17th of May 2022.
The meeting was hybrid with some partners attending physically (at Bayreuth, Germany) and some others online. A quick overview of the project was presented, and the following activities were discussed in detail in order for any doubts or questions to be clarified and resolved.

From the 27th of June until the 1st of July, the C1 training of the MENTORme project for HE students and teachers was organized in Valladolid, Spain.
Students from all partner countries had a very fruitful week full of knowledge, interactive activities, and new skills.

Partners have completed the development of the Guidebook which will support the mentees, mentors and supervisors by introducing all elements of the project, the services provided, their roles etc. Partners have also completed the pilot testing sessions with all three target groups of the project and they are adjusting the project’s products and results based on the pilot testing’s conclusions. |

On the 23rd of February 2023, partners met F2F one last time, in order to discuss the final tasks that need to be completed by the end of the project. More specifically, they presented the results collected through the pilot testing sessions and brainstormed on the final arrangements related to the accreditation procedure of the training course.

On the 24th of February 2023, partners organized the final conference of the project at the UCLan University Cyprus and mainly HE students and academics were informed about the project, its aims, and its results. A debate was also organized in order to help HE students and academics reflect on the importance of mentorship.

The MENTORme project has unfortunately come to an end. Partners completed their tasks and responsibilities and have created the best solution results possible for this project. All products and results are now available for FREE for anyone interested in mentorship and active citizenship. A big thank you to all partners for their work these two and a half years and stay tuned for more!
