Intellectual Output 5 - MENTORme Societies
IO5 Description
This last Intellectual Output is about the creation of the MENTORme Societies, in other words, necessary synergies that will be established with institutions, organisations, media/press, enterprises etc. in order to ensure project’s exploitation and sustainability. The first product of IO5 is a Guidebook in order to support the mentees, mentors and supervisors, aiming to introduce all elements of the project, the services provided, their roles etc. This intellectual output will proceed with the pilot testing by the establishment of the MENTORme Societies and the evaluation of the project.

IN-SERVICE TRAINING FOR HIGHER EDUCATION ACADEMICS/STAFF
Greece
Active Citizens of Mediterranean on 3.3.2023 organized the pilot activity for the Academics. On this session was presented to the 5 Academics the MENTORme project, the aims and objectives, in order to use this knowledge in their classes.
Cyprus
Emphasys Centre and UCLan Cyprus organized a three-hour event (on the 26th of January 2023) during which they presented to Higher Education Academics the MENTORme project, its aims and objectives, its digital tools, and the potential impact that the project can have on them and to their students. Due to their tight schedule, academics were encouraged to navigate through the platform on their own time and come back with feedback or suggestions.
Poland
On the 12th of February 2023 training session for HEI teachers was conducted. Lecturers from University of Social Science met with MENTORme experts to discuss key competences in the mentoring process. They also shared their experiences and found some ways to support students in developing these competences. The training was conducted online.
Spain
The University of Valladolid has conducted online training for faculty to become supervisors of students who are being trained as mentors. Eight people participated in the online course that took place from February 27 to March 3, 2023. They consider this course to be a very good training opportunity for the students.
MODULAR MENTORING COURSE FOR STUDENTS
Greece
Active Citizens of Mediterranean organised the activity for Higher Education students on 6th of March. The course was prepared and presented for students (Psychology, Pedagogy, Economics). Participants had the opportunity to upgrade their personal skills and gain more knowledge about mentoring.
Cyprus
Emphasys Centre and UCLan Cyprus organized an event on the 8th of February 2023, during which they presented to Higher Education students the MENTORme project, its aims and objectives, its digital tools, and the potential impact that the project can have on them. Each of the competences that are to be developed in order for them to become suitable mentors was taught through different activities and discussions with the active participation of all of the students.
Poland
The modular mentoring course for students in Poland was conducted face to face on 5th and 18th of February together by SAN and SIR. The course was organized in the form of workshops for psychology and pedagogy students. Participants had a chance not only to get to know more about the project, e-learning platform and the idea of mentoring itself, but also to upgrade their skills in four key competences.
Spain
Ten students from the University of Valladolid have participated in the online training to become mentors on 10th of March 2023. This training has been conducted online to allow students from other cities to participate in it. The degree of satisfaction has been very good.
InfoDAY for mentees
Greece
Active Citizens of Mediterranean organised the info day for people with fewer opportunities on 5th of March 2023. It was presented the MENTORme project, its tools, goals and results. All the participants got the message that everyone can help other people in need.
Cyprus
Emphasys Centre and UCLan Cyprus organized a two-hour F2F on the 9th of February, during which they presented to PWFOs the MENTORme project, its aims and objectives, its digital tools, and the potential impact that the project can have on them and their lives.
Poland
On 17th of March SAN and SIR conducted an online InfoDay for mentees. During the meeting, Participants had a chance to get to know more about the project, e-learning platform, mobile App and the idea of mentoring itself.
Spain
On 24th of March, 10 young people of Roma ethnicity have participated in the information session on the MENTORme project. They liked to know what is done at the university in addition to teaching and the possibilities they have to participate and even become mentors in this project. They have realized that they themselves can help other people.
